What does Google Ads management include?

Google Ads management combines business and account assessment, campaign planning, approved advertising, launch checks and ongoing optimisation. It can include conversion assessment and destination reviews within an agreed technical allowance.

Management is more than adding keywords or accepting automated recommendations. The practical questions are which customer action matters, whether the destination supports it, what can be measured and how much activity the business can afford to test.

An account assessment identifies issues; it does not automatically include fixing every issue. Setup is different from ongoing management, and advertising is separate from organic SEO. For comparisons across advertising systems, explore our PPC management services.

Who is this service suitable for?

  • Service businesses: with a clear offer, genuine service coverage and reliable enquiry handling.
  • B2B and professional firms: able to distinguish downloads and submissions from sales-accepted opportunities.
  • Retailers: with accurate product information, functioning checkout, stock and dependable fulfilment.
  • Education providers: promoting verified opportunities with accurate admission information.
  • Existing advertisers: needing an account review, clearer lead-quality feedback or better-defined management.

Missing access, broken forms, weak offers, restricted products or poor follow-up may need attention first. A small budget should not be divided across unnecessary countries or campaign types. Launching more campaigns cannot independently repair pricing, checkout or service delivery.

Choose campaign types deliberately

Different campaign routes require different inputs

Route

What needs planning

Search

Relevant search intent, keyword themes, match settings, negative keywords, text ads and destination alignment.

Shopping

Eligible products, Merchant Center, accurate product data, stock and purchase measurement.

Performance Max

A multi-channel campaign type with conversion, asset and control requirements. It is not search-only or Shopping-only.

Display, video or Demand Gen

Suitable creative, permitted audiences, placement considerations and measurement appropriate to the objective.

Eligible remarketing

Audience source, consent dependencies, current eligibility, relevant messages and exclusions.

Not every route belongs in every engagement. Account features, policies and eligibility vary. We agree the campaign types included and quote additional creative or technical work separately. See our Shopping Ads management services for product-advertising requirements and remarketing services for audience re-engagement.

The work behind a managed account

Business, offer and account review

Clarify objectives, priority services or products, geography, sales capacity and available evidence. Review authorised account history, ownership, permissions and billing. Identify blockers and prioritise the work with the strongest business relevance.

Search intent, structure and approved ads

Map relevant themes to campaigns, ad groups and suitable destinations. Agree keyword implementation, exclusions, ad copy and assets. A research theme is not a guaranteed volume of demand, and a long keyword list is not a complete strategy.

Define original concepts, variants, finished assets and revisions before production. A resized asset is not a new original concept. Client approvals establish the accuracy of business claims and rights to supplied material.

Budgets, bidding and controls

Agree media limits, campaign settings, bidding approach and who can approve changes. An average daily budget is not a hard daily cap: platform spending rules and budget changes affect pacing. Targets guide bidding; they do not guarantee an acquisition cost or return.

Automation still needs review. Available query evidence, exclusions, geographic settings and business feedback can inform changes, but reporting may not show every search and location targeting is not perfectly precise.

Landing-page and enquiry-path checks

Review whether the destination explains the offer and makes the relevant action usable. A training provider, for example, may need accurate intake dates and eligibility information before buying more traffic.

Page recommendations, editing, development and controlled experiments are different tasks. Our landing page CRO services provide a route for separately scoped assessment and improvements.

Conversion assessment and validation

Agree which actions should inform reporting and bidding. Calls, forms, purchases and offline outcomes need appropriate definitions. Check available tag configuration, event triggers, values, currency and duplicate handling within the agreed scope.

Installing GA4 or a tag does not establish valid Google Ads conversion measurement. Imported and directly measured actions need review so the same outcome is not unintentionally counted twice. A test event firing does not establish a genuine lead or retained purchase.

Enhanced conversions, consent configuration, offline integrations and server-side work require explicit assessment and implementation limits. They do not bypass consent or restore complete attribution. Do not send customer lists, sensitive records or passwords through an initial enquiry.

Monitoring, optimisation and specific tests

Review agreed spend, delivery, query or placement evidence and customer-action quality. Document changes and test a useful question where volume permits. Monitoring frequency differs from optimisation frequency; neither means continuous staff availability or daily changes.

A B2B firm might review qualified opportunities rather than optimise toward every download. A retailer might inspect cancellations and stock before increasing product coverage. These illustrate decisions, not Ranknix case studies.

How the engagement works

  1. Review readiness: assess the offer, account, assets and existing agreements.
  2. Agree scope: define campaigns, production, technical work, responsibilities and approvals.
  3. Prepare and validate: complete authorised configuration and record agreed tests.
  4. Launch when ready: resolve critical blockers and check approved settings.
  5. Review evidence: report completed work, results, uncertainty and next priorities.

An initial review period can establish a baseline and evaluate suitable tests. It does not guarantee sufficient data, completed platform learning or financial results. Access, approvals and platform reviews can affect timing.

What you receive and who does what

Your proposal defines brands, advertising accounts, domains, markets, languages, campaign and ad-group limits, ads, assets, revisions, conversion actions, technical hours, reporting and calls. Deliverables can include a findings register, campaign plan, approved assets, validation records, launch checklist, change log and next priorities.

You retain account ownership, approve offers and budgets, provide accurate assets and handle enquiries or orders. Ranknix completes the signed scope using authorised permissions. Developers or specialists handle separately agreed engineering, feeds, consent changes and complex integrations. Platform approval and account eligibility remain outside agency control.

Google Ads management fees and media budgets

Request a quotation based on campaign scope, creative needs, markets and implementation requirements. Assessment, new setup and monthly management are distinct services.

Agency fees are separate from advertising spend. We prefer client-owned accounts with media billed directly by Google. Photography, filming, animation, licences, translation, premium tools, call tracking, landing-page development, feed services and custom integrations are separate where needed.

Existing PPC agreements may already include Google campaign work. We review genuinely reusable onboarding, tracking and approved assets before adding charges. Media planning reflects campaign focus, geography, testing requirements and available commercial evidence without inventing auction costs or promising lead volumes.

Reporting beyond clicks and platform conversions

  • Delivery: completed plans, approved ads, launches, changes and validated checks.
  • Advertising activity: spend, impressions, clicks and available query or placement evidence.
  • Customer actions: loaded visits, connected calls, submissions and recorded purchases.
  • Confirmed outcomes: qualified enquiries, validated orders and client-confirmed pipeline where reliable evidence exists.

Clicks differ from loaded visits; phone clicks differ from qualified calls; submissions differ from qualified leads. ROAS is not profit, and platform CPA is not acquisition cost including fees and other expenses. Separate branded and non-branded activity where evidence permits.

Attribution windows, view-through reporting, consent gaps, cross-channel overlap, refunds and sales cycles affect interpretation. Do not add overlapping Google and other platform conversions and call the total unique sales. Attribution alone does not demonstrate incremental impact.

Google Ads management FAQs

Do I need every campaign type?

No. Start with a manageable route matched to your objective, assets, readiness and budget. Additional campaign types require justification and explicit scope.

Can you improve an existing account?

An authorised assessment can identify priorities and reusable work. Recommendations, implementation and ongoing management are separately defined; improvement is not guaranteed.

How much advertising budget do I need?

That depends on the market, offer, campaign focus and testing needs. We do not use a universal clicks-per-day rule or split limited spend simply to cover more channels.

Do you guarantee results within a few weeks?

No. Competition, demand, approvals, measurement, offer quality and sales follow-up all affect outcomes. Limited data can leave tests inconclusive.

Are landing pages, video and feeds included?

Only where your proposal explicitly includes defined deliverables and allowances. Campaign management is not unlimited production or website development.

Does advertising improve organic rankings or AI visibility?

Advertising spend and campaign conversions do not automatically improve organic rankings or earn AI citations. Paid campaigns and organic search optimisation are separate work.
